Good morning, I have prayer request. My 105 year old grandmother passed yesterday. She leaves us with great memories and has for years held the family together, except me. I left many years ago and had just been in touch with my family since. I ask for prayers to ease their sorrow and bring solace to my family in this trying time. Every body that knew here has sorrow. In her life, she and my late grandfather were one of the founders of my home town of Snohomish, Washington and held the city treasury for 30 years. I feel empty in my heart. I should have been there. Thank you and God Bless all you do.
There is a chance your grandparents knew my grandparents and great-grandparents. My great=grandfather was the first mayor of the combined cities of Sedro and Woolley, now known as Sedro-woolley.

There is an old saying (a little silly perhaps) that goes like this; "I'm sure you thought you understood what you thought you heard me say, but I'm not sure you realize that what I said was not what I meant." Another way of saying something very similar is from Shakespeare; "There's may a slip between the cup and the lip." The idea I'm trying to put forth here is embodied in the scripture, "Lean not to your own understanding." Proverbs 3: 5. God will give you discernment if you ask. Things and people are not always what they seem at face value. Seek the Holy Spirit. He was sent to lead you into all truth.

@QuikWit Basically it means sharing a meal together. Loaves of bread were broken rather than cut. This is still done in many parts of the world. Unleavened bread is easy to break apart. It also has a spiritual component. Jesus body (the Bread of Life) was broken for us.
