There is an old saying (a little silly perhaps) that goes like this; "I'm sure you thought you understood what you thought you heard me say, but I'm not sure you realize that what I said was not what I meant." Another way of saying something very similar is from Shakespeare; "There's may a slip between the cup and the lip." The idea I'm trying to put forth here is embodied in the scripture, "Lean not to your own understanding." Proverbs 3: 5. God will give you discernment if you ask. Things and people are not always what they seem at face value. Seek the Holy Spirit. He was sent to lead you into all truth.
Thank you for the prayers - thank you, thank you, thank you! I love you, my sisters and brothers in Christ. ❤️🙏✝️❤️🙏✝️
This is a great video ^ not just about healing btw
In Acts 2:42 they were breaking bread , what does it mean to break bread?? Thank you for anyone's input....
**Acts 2:42 - New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)**
```Dust
<42> They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. ```
@QuikWit Basically it means sharing a meal together. Loaves of bread were broken rather than cut. This is still done in many parts of the world. Unleavened bread is easy to break apart. It also has a spiritual component. Jesus body (the Bread of Life) was broken for us.
**Psalm 103:8 - New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)**
```Dust
<8> The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. ```
@Shadetree49 Thank you for sharing that because I didn't know the complete meaning of breaking bread.
@QuikWit There is some interesting play of light and shadow but the resolution is so poor it's hard to tell what's what.
@Shadetree49 tap on the picture and blow it up and there are 3 crosses made out of power lines
@Shadetree49 the middle one has a transformer
@Shadetree49 just observation
The world is full of surprising sights. I'm sure God has many messages for those with eyes to see. Just be sure it measures up to His Word.

Simon Parkes is asking that we take 3 minutes to meditate and pray regarding the Amazon Fires on August 29, 10:00pm British Summer Time. Thank you very much for your attention to this matter.
@seniorontherun I wonder how much of that story is real. The pictures being used are from California etc.

**Psalm 138:8 - New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)**

October 3rd of last year, mom passed. Dad and I took a month this past spring to take her home to Ks. And then wander our way back to the left coast.
Well, we've been home since July first, and dad went in to the doctor for an increasing problem with gurd. Guess they kicked the tires too.
This morning his test results are in, and there's a 6 cm mass on his left lung.
He has an appointment tomorrow, but we could both use your prayers.
