@misslexi9162 2 people In my family were told we were not registered. Then the next 2 people I talked to said the same thing happened to them. That means our votes don't get counted till later. Addresses for polling off internet didn't pan out, and after a whole day of red tape, got to vote without being asked for any ID whatsoever! This happened at an apartment building In Van Nyse, California! Im posting a picture of it right here. My son also was not asked for any ID. He voted in Hollywood, walked in, and they just handed him a ballot. The write in section was perforated to tear off separately, Easy to throw out. Some important people on that ballot, with no republicans to choose! Not enough write in space to put someone in. Completely rigged.

Sorry, sherman Oaks, Ca!
Hope Q knows!!!!! No one to help, and no privacy. I never voted right out in the open before. What an awful experience it was. One police officer directed me to Norwalk to vote (at the civic center in Van Nyse) which is completely out of my area, very far away. Don't even think it is in LA county, not sure. I was so frazzled, after driving off all the gas in my truck, the police officer said...."mam? Do you need a paramedic ? Hahaha! how was your day? No wonder we call them clowns. What a freaking circus! 🤪 how was your day????

2018-11-07 08:17:04 UTC

*Directions from another person with the same experience. I had to find this by word of mouth. It was not listed. It was private!!!!!

What a sham, practically empty 2hours before polls closed

2018-11-07 08:38:17 UTC

@seekingthetruth thank you for that. I forget and get discouraged. When the wall goes up, all of LA should be to the south side where they can enjoy their cardboard boxes for homes, and leave us alone!!!! Awful! Homeless Americans littered everywhere. LA, Orange County, San Fernando Valley turned into slums, thanks DemoRats!!!!

No worries. Justice will continue. One needs to understand the difference between the Senate and House of Representatives. The wheels of justice will not stop.

The Powers of the Senate
The Senate's power derives from more than just its relatively exclusive membership; it also is granted specific powers in the Constitution. In addition to the many powers granted jointly to both houses of Congress, the Constitution enumerates the role of the upper body specifically in Article I, Section 3.

While the House of Representatives has the power to recommend impeachment of a sitting president, vice president or other civic officials such as a judge for "high crimes and misdemeanors," as written in the Constitution, the Senate is the sole jury once impeachment goes to trial. With a two-thirds majority, the Senate may thus remove an official from office. Two presidents, Andrew Johnson, and Bill Clinton have been tried; both were acquitted.

The President of the United States has the power to negotiate treaties and agreements with other nations, but the Senate must ratify them by a two-thirds vote in order to take effect. This isn't the only way the Senate balances the power of the president.

All presidential appointees, including Cabinet members, judicial appointees and ambassadors must be confirmed by the Senate, which can call any nominees to testify before it.

The Senate also investigates matters of national interest. There have been special investigations of matters ranging from the Vietnam War to organized crime to the Watergate break-in and subsequent cover-up.

The More 'Deliberate' Chamber
The Senate is commonly the more deliberative of the two chambers of Congress; theoretically, a debate on the floor may go on indefinitely, and some seem to. Senators may filibuster, or delay further action by the body, by debating it at length; the only way to end a filibuster is through a motion of cloture, which requires the vote of 60 senators.

The Senate Committee System
The Senate, like the House of Representatives, sends bills to committees before bringing them before the full chamber; it also has committees which perform specific non-legislative functions as well.

The Senate's committees include:

agriculture, nutrition, and forestry;
appropriations;
armed services;
banking, housing, and urban affairs;
budget;
commerce, science, and transportation;
energy and natural resources;
environment and public works;
finance;
foreign relations;
health, education, labor, and pensions;
homeland security and governmental affairs;
judiciary;
rules and administration;
small business and entrepreneurship;and veterans' affairs.
There are also special committees on aging, ethics, intelligence and Indian affairs; and joint committees with the House of Representatives.

The House of Representatives does have some unique powers. Specifically:

The sole power of impeachment (Article I, Section 2),
Origination power for bills intended to raise revenue (Article I, Section 7),
Choosing the President in the exceedingly unlikely case of an Electoral College tie (Article II, Section 1, as amended).
But the Senate gets other, more important powers! The Senate:

Tries all impeachments (Article I, Section 3), so they decide whether or not to remove any government officials accused by the House. Seems to me that it’s more important to be the decisionmaker (the decider?)
May propose or concur amendments to revenue bills, as with any other bill (Article I, Section 7). Functionally, this means that the Houses’s ability to prevent the Senate from expressing its views on tax policy is pretty limited.

2018-11-07 10:28:35 UTC

Gets to approve appointments throughout the Executive and Judicial branches (Article II, Section II). That’s the biggest one: the House gets no say at all in appointments!
About the only area in which the House has a clear advantage over the Senate is in the (again, rare) case of an Electoral College tie, when the Senate would choose the Vice President (Article II, Section 1, as amended).

Throw in a couple of other factors that give individual Senators more power than individual Representatives - longer terms, staggered elections, and extended debate - and I think it’s fair to conclude that the Senate has more power, collectively.

Get the popcorn, Friday & Saturday will deliver on the MAGA promise. POTUS knows he must clean house (gov't) in order to 'free up' and demonstrate who has authority in order to pass important legislation. This was always the priority. Remember, AG Sessions cannot look like an impartial player that is out to get all former Obama team members as we need him for other important work. All will come into focus and for anyone to think POTUS is not in control is kidding themselves. Also, he's 100% insulated with zero risk of impeachment (fact).
