Resetting a Forgotten Password

Navigate to https://www.discordapp.com.
Click Login.
Type your email address into the "Email" box."
Click Forgot Your Password?
Open the email message from Discord.
Click Reset Password in the email message.

I am new and have not been able to find Patriot Soapbox text or chat-help

@Mike445 the text is with each voice room. Chat help you can scroll up and maybe find what you are looking for or you can find a voice room with people in it and click on the text chat to that room and ask anyone for help. Everyone here is always will to help. I hope this helps. If there is anything I can do feel free to dm me by clicking the top discord icon and just type in Powder and my name will come up with numbers. Click that and just start typing. Never hestitate to ask for help. So sorry I didn't see this earlier.

I downloaded this app once and something went so wrong that I had to do a system restore. How do I download it correctly , so that I do not cause this problem a second time.?

I am not at all sure, thoghut it went good was going into different sections of app, and then it froze up, next thing I knew I had to do a system restore.

After you unfroze what happened? You might not have needed to restore

It's a pretty simple program to install.

No, after it froze the screen came up to d o a system restore, only option it gave me when I exited out of the app.

Okay, so that orange bar at top that says "need system-wide Push to talk? does not mean I need to download it then.

When you installed the app it should have put an icon on your desktop

look and see

close this out and click on that icon

no icon on desktop.

it is going to ask you to verify email address

ok if you click on the windows icon on the bottom bar of your desktop it will flip up a menu and you will see Contorta it will be a circle to the right of the windows icon after you click. type discord in there see what you get.

when it finds it right click it and see if it gives you the option to make a shortcut

I am not seeing that option. I got a shortcut when I installed it. To find it each time you just click the windows icon and scroll down to the D's and you will see a Discord folder click and it will open then click the blue discord icon

That is easier than searching it

Nothing found, as I see it I think I will need to download it again as the system restore remove all installed apps and went back to factory settings.

It may have because the restore came after you installed it.
