I suspect you might have the wrong device for audio output chosen in the voice & video section, that would cause lack of sound from the device you're trying to use

Make sure you have the right device selected in Voice & Video for input (microphone) and output.

Make sure to use push-to-talk instead of "voice activity" and forget to choose a push key for it
