Right click the user name and a new menu opens
About in the middle of the menu yo will see "Add Friend" Click that item to get to the next step

Any of the rooms with the speaker in front of the name are for audio/talking only

Can you continue to scrol farther down the menu?

yes so for talking one has to have a headset and you can talk to those in room or how does that work

what does the dot in front of hashtag mean?

Yes if there headset has a slash through it then it is muted and they cannot hear you at all

It is basically a bullet point and nothing more
