Science is a tool to explore and understand God's infinite creation

2018-12-13 15:53:10 UTC

Not a barrier to religion

2018-12-13 15:53:19 UTC

@Koninos wrong

2018-12-13 15:53:24 UTC

Correct.

2018-12-13 15:53:30 UTC

Don't make me bring my bible.

2018-12-13 15:54:01 UTC

The early Christian Church accepted Earth was round ages ago

2018-12-13 15:54:18 UTC

Tye debate was wether or not Earth was the center of the solar system

2018-12-13 15:54:19 UTC

Though the authentic texts say it's flat.

2018-12-13 15:54:32 UTC

No

2018-12-13 15:54:36 UTC

Yes.

2018-12-13 15:54:55 UTC

The people believed it is flat, and thus the old texts say it's flat.

2018-12-13 15:55:04 UTC

inb4 4 Corners verse, that's been refuted by every major Christian body

2018-12-13 15:56:00 UTC

No matter what the Christian believes. Christianity is a very old religion. Back in the ages Christianity was made, people believed the Earth is flat. And so did the first Christians.

2018-12-13 15:56:10 UTC

No Christian said that the Earth is round, back then.

2018-12-13 15:56:27 UTC

It's understandable, and I'm not critisizing the Christians for this, but let's be honest here.

2018-12-13 15:56:45 UTC

Also the majority of scientists are atheists.

2018-12-13 15:57:05 UTC

There are many things that science have proved wrong, mentioned in the Christian bible.

2018-12-13 15:57:09 UTC

Adam and Eva for example.

2018-12-13 15:57:36 UTC

Science may not have proved it entirely, but the Darwin Theory is more acceptable - from the majority of the people, at least.

2018-12-13 15:58:35 UTC

Furthermore, the reason the human race did not develop at *all*, in the Middle Ages, was because of the religions. They all thought that everything was made by god - thus, why would they mind to explore the world?

2018-12-13 15:59:13 UTC

However, when the Renaissance arrived, and the enlighters, who were either Deists or atheists, lighted up our world.

2018-12-13 15:59:49 UTC

Without them, we'd be stuck in the "God made everything" theory that Christianity presented, and would never have developed since then.

2018-12-13 16:00:10 UTC

```
Science is a tool to explore and understand God's infinite creation
```

2018-12-13 16:00:58 UTC

This is terribly wrong in my opinion, hence science has proved wrong many things that are mentioned in the Christian bible.

2018-12-13 16:01:36 UTC

Science can explain a lot, but not everything.

2018-12-13 16:02:04 UTC

Thus, Science is not capable of answering the "Is there a God?" question.

2018-12-13 16:02:31 UTC

Though Christianity is rapidly losing its population, just because of science.

2018-12-13 16:02:51 UTC

So does every other religion.

2018-12-13 16:02:56 UTC

From Islam to Buddhism.

2018-12-13 16:03:04 UTC

From Hinduism to other traditional religions.

2018-12-13 16:03:15 UTC

So Science is not compatible with Religions.

2018-12-13 16:03:51 UTC

No.

2018-12-13 16:04:31 UTC

Except from Deism - Deism says that there *is* a god, who created our universe, though he doesn't interact with us, nor has he created us; the universe itself, developed, and create us.

2018-12-13 16:04:41 UTC

Deism is compatible with Science.

2018-12-13 16:04:53 UTC

Though the rest of the religions are not, in my opinion.

2018-12-13 16:20:14 UTC

Science and religion are compatible

2018-12-13 16:20:23 UTC

God is truth

2018-12-13 16:20:46 UTC

God is absolute truth

2018-12-13 16:20:49 UTC

Okay, this is epic

2018-12-13 16:21:40 UTC

Science seeks to find that truth although *modern scientists* want to ignore the truth which is God

2018-12-13 16:22:04 UTC

Which is why homosex are okay and literally gender is a social construct
