4 hours a day is enough

2018-08-18 20:35:52 UTC

If you really focus on important subjects

2018-08-18 20:36:46 UTC

I prefer the German system in which at a certain point the school splits into 2 branches offering students the choice of pursuing practical workforce careers or greater educational pursuits

2018-08-18 20:36:53 UTC

Yeah I've referenced that too

2018-08-18 20:37:05 UTC

Privatize education

2018-08-18 20:37:09 UTC

We have a massive issue with progressive credentialism

2018-08-18 20:37:16 UTC

in the west

2018-08-18 20:37:57 UTC

So from 5-18 we have 13 years, add a bachelors 17, add a masters 19, add a phd 21.

2018-08-18 20:38:02 UTC

21 years wasted

2018-08-18 20:38:10 UTC

the biggest flaw of western education is not the form of its accessibility but the quality of the content taught

2018-08-18 20:38:33 UTC

Nothing takes 21 years to teach

2018-08-18 20:38:36 UTC

that's fucking insane

2018-08-18 20:38:55 UTC

Even 12 years is too much

2018-08-18 20:39:02 UTC

Public education should really only be 6 years long

2018-08-18 20:39:11 UTC

perhaps advanced medicine or forms of mathematics or science

2018-08-18 20:39:16 UTC

Maths/English/a foreign language

2018-08-18 20:39:24 UTC

Really the only useful things

2018-08-18 20:39:30 UTC

For profit colleges are a scam, and this has been well documented. They offer subpar education and are aimed at making you spend as much money as possible.

Knowing that, why would we want the same problems for profit colleges cause to be reflected across all sectors of education?
@Doctor Anon

2018-08-18 20:39:42 UTC

Name a quality for profit school

2018-08-18 20:39:49 UTC

It's going to take you a minute

2018-08-18 20:39:53 UTC

And there's a reason

2018-08-18 20:39:58 UTC

Because they're usually shit

2018-08-18 20:40:11 UTC

Honestly I support education being entirely public simply to prevent the poor from losing a reason to support society

2018-08-18 20:40:44 UTC

Because if a quality private education requires a certain level of wealth, you could tune out of supporting the gov pretty quickly

2018-08-18 20:40:57 UTC

I believe they're should be public colleges to extent to force private institutions into being more competitive offering more quality or lowering prices

2018-08-18 20:41:04 UTC

Privatized primary and secondary schools have statistically higher standards, higher educated children, and of more higher quality

2018-08-18 20:41:14 UTC

The entire uni system is fucked

2018-08-18 20:41:21 UTC

so we can't really point at for profit unis and say they're bad

2018-08-18 20:41:28 UTC

Fact is for profit unis don't get funded well

2018-08-18 20:41:36 UTC

they're competing with welfare mills

2018-08-18 20:41:45 UTC

the US Gov gives ridiculous amounts to non-profits

2018-08-18 20:41:53 UTC

It's impossible to compete

2018-08-18 20:41:58 UTC

the reason as of right now why privatized primary education is better is because its forced to compete with a public general education

2018-08-18 20:42:03 UTC

Spending is nothing

2018-08-18 20:42:14 UTC

@Bagrat exactly

2018-08-18 20:42:20 UTC

hence their standards must be better otherwise it wouldn't be worth it

2018-08-18 20:42:20 UTC

California spends the most on education and it has the most shit education system

2018-08-18 20:42:28 UTC

Well it's the quality of people

2018-08-18 20:42:32 UTC

it also has 20x more kids

2018-08-18 20:42:39 UTC

That's an unfair comparison, because california is full of brown people @Doctor Anon

2018-08-18 20:42:40 UTC

I can't remember the study but 90% of outcomes are the individual and 10% are the school
