They arent western, though. They have a cultural religion known as confucionism

2018-08-18 21:08:57 UTC

The main thing that separates atheism in the east versus atheism in the west is communism

2018-08-18 21:09:00 UTC

Well

2018-08-18 21:09:01 UTC

Its a complete worldview of non-natural ideas, which is characteristic of religion

2018-08-18 21:09:10 UTC

Many in the west are communists, too, but they never lived under it

2018-08-18 21:09:14 UTC

and don't know what struggle is

2018-08-18 21:09:47 UTC

It goes without saying that commies and crypto commies are a cancer

2018-08-18 21:10:00 UTC

East Germany is also less Christian than West Germany

2018-08-18 21:10:04 UTC

Another good example

2018-08-18 21:10:08 UTC

Well

2018-08-18 21:10:11 UTC

Communism changes people

2018-08-18 21:10:15 UTC

One stat that will make you think

2018-08-18 21:10:16 UTC

Is

2018-08-18 21:10:35 UTC

Self reported views were recently conducted in usa and eu

2018-08-18 21:11:05 UTC

And the self reported nonreligious in the usa had strongly related viewpoints as the very religious in the eu

2018-08-18 21:11:21 UTC

If thats not a blackpill on europe, i dont know what is

2018-08-18 21:11:36 UTC

I can try to find a source, im at a festival one sec

2018-08-18 21:12:33 UTC

Maybe its late... but what do I take from that?

2018-08-18 21:12:40 UTC

East Germany is the more anti-migrant and conservative side of Germany

2018-08-18 21:12:53 UTC

This seems to reference the study i saw

2018-08-18 21:14:11 UTC

Well, i take it that Christianity is a dead religion in europe, which is painful for me since visiting european Cathedrals in my early 20s directly led to a Christian awakening for me

2018-08-18 21:15:12 UTC

Man made Cathedrals led to a spiritual awakening?

2018-08-18 21:16:49 UTC

Yes. The existence of true sublime beauty to me refutes the basics of secular humanism. I cant get deeper than that right now though because as i said im at a festival

2018-08-18 21:17:53 UTC

I take it that study is meaning people who are non religious are more fanatical over pop icons for example, and show a religious fervour to non religious entities.

2018-08-18 21:18:28 UTC

Yea no worries, you'll have to let me know the places that did that for you so I can visit one day!

2018-08-18 21:18:51 UTC

No

2018-08-18 21:19:11 UTC

I dont think that was the findings of the study, but I admittedly only glanced at them

2018-08-18 21:20:54 UTC

I revisited this summer. I highly recommend the cathedral of chartres, bayeux and the saint chapelle in paris. On my first trip though i found the cathedral in seville was exceptional in its scale. Havent felt such a humbling magnitude except when i visited the grand canyon

2018-08-18 21:21:42 UTC

Cool, noted.

2018-08-18 21:22:01 UTC

Yea I will need to have a proper read of that study, another tab open....

2018-08-18 21:24:54 UTC

@Omniconsumerproducts most countries aren't hard to get citizenship to if you are a college educated white

2018-08-18 21:25:00 UTC

let alone stuff like a green card

2018-08-18 21:25:18 UTC

It just requires you to get a work visa and stay there for X years, some countries require a minimum income or savings

2018-08-18 21:25:25 UTC

ofc don't be sick and don't be a criminal

2018-08-18 21:25:42 UTC

Everyone says Japan is hard to move to as well but it's really not.

2018-08-18 21:27:07 UTC

No college education, but a strong work background and IT qualifications, i Do have a criminal record for..... Verbal abuse! Apparently telling someone to fuck off in your own living room and pointing to the door is illegal.

2018-08-18 21:27:36 UTC

Breach of peace, right?

2018-08-18 21:28:08 UTC

but tbh i think i got convicted on that count so they could fine me and make some money out of the whole disgrace

2018-08-18 21:28:15 UTC

No, verbal abuse!

2018-08-18 21:28:19 UTC
