And what do you think that would do to Walmart?
Or Target?
Or any big box stores?
I don't care about Walmart and Target
If the USA just embargoed China.
They can stay or be replaced by another company
What you care about doesn't matter.
You're not the masses
The market doesn't care about them
You're just a small, and insignificant portion of the market that they could easily cut out.
If they can't adapt to the new change it is their loss
Another company will take their place
This happens all the time
Okay, and if most companies find it difficult to cope, and the process of goods that were commonplace rises astronomically?
Then what?
You're just going to tell the people it's their fault?
It won't rise astronomically
Look at reality
Well, if you look at most of the items at big box stores.
Where are they made?
The companies will just go to the next cheapest manufacturer
Where are they made?
I'm saying it takes *time*
To find those manufacturers.
It takes *time* to make a new trade deal.
Not that much time.
You don't need trade deals to trade
And if the production can't keep up with demand, or the quality of merchandise falls but stays the same price then what incentive is there to buy?
Yeah, I agree the US will take a hit. The point is that while it will hurt the US, it will DEVASTATE China
And how will a new business come to compete if it now takes twice the resources to get anywhere?
You're just going to tell them the dream is dead?
You can't just look on the rosy side of life. You have to look at the "What if? Do I have a plan for the what if?"
Like in my city there were two tornadoes, and that was impossible.
Until Friday.
@Summī Imperator, 呪い殿 no I don't need to look at the what if. Those companies do
It is their responsibility
And if they just decide it isn't worth it anymore?
I mean the owners are already rich.
Then that is their decision
The executives as well.
