Why does the government need to get involved?
Here's an example of where intervention is needed
It sounds like the government is creating the issue with companies like Monsanto.
They are.
It is.
Sometimes people undercut the market
The collection of personal data by big tech
And harm the domestic market.
If people undercut something then let whatever is dying, die.
if the government gets involved then the invisible hand isn't there
Are platforms like Google Utilities?
So don't let the government get involved.
you can't undercut "the market"
^
because that is part of the market
Though, some tech companies do get involved with the government in a "if you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" kind of way
Don't let them.
Making the practice illegal to begin with, though
I know this stuff happens, it just shouldn't.
which is should be
Big tech was also government's fault. And I can only assume they continue to allow big tech corporations to continue collecting personal data to circumvent the Bil of Rights.
Illegal for who? The company?
should prevent both parties from engaging in it
@Zayan Watchel No, the practice as a whole
If a corporation asks the government for something, the government should say no.
yes
yeah, we should make the government getting involved in supporting companies illegal
The government should not help big tech collect data
and big tech should not collect it
is what I am getting at
So are we not looking at companies as people?
Big tech can collect all they want if that's what is outlined in the ToS.
Of course they can
Companies are groups of people...

I'm pretty sure ToS aren't legally binding.
What was Facebook designed for exactly?
But that shouldn't be a thing, and we're reaching the point where it's completely unavoidable @Zayan Watchel
Terms of Service. If they weren't a binding contract why would they exist?
ToS are semi legally binding
@JogaFlame Networking for college kids.
