uss liberty
not to meantion
in the 1960s kennedy was pressuring the prime minister of israel at the time to disclose nuclear capabilities of their plants
he keeps avoiding to do so until he resigns in 1963
two weeks later
kennedy is shot
wow
coincidentally
It'll probably weaken it.
islam has already reformed itself in the past
thats what caused the sunni and shia split
and the islamic golden age as well
Didn't the Sunni-Shia split happen in the early days of Islam?
very early
Yeah.
I would hardly call that a reformation.
islam could probably just seperate from the state like Christianity
all g
issue is Islam in its texts, the way its written is written in such a way as to basically be a political document rather than religious
you'd need to rewrite a lot
or simply do mental gymnastics out the ass
took a while to seperate the state and Christianity too
Ireland where I live wasn't completely separated until 1992
and abortion is still illegal here
and that's just de jure separation (in some nations - Christianity still remains, more or less, the official religion in a lot of states)
There's still a lot of heavy de facto influences which Christianity has upon governments
So Christianity isn't really entirely "seperate [sic] from the state"
