I don't think "knock out" was supposed to mean unconsciousness. What the quotes actually explain it doing, and the nature of the tear gas compound makes it sound like unconsciousness is not probable. But yes, if people are going unconscious, that is a far greater danger.
And yes, this weapon or regular tear gas is only really life-threatening to those with heart and breathing problems. More likely to only need hospitalization tho. @Bogatyr Bogumir
@SolidGold True, still using weapons of mass... damage, in polish we say razienie which means huge field of effect, is IMO unnaceptable and a HUGE and too big demonstration of force. Its too much power basically. If bear spray isnt doing it, being shot from vehicles, then something went horribly wrong and you either ar eforced to escalate to lethal force OR maybe the crowd is right

Yea, I think this has all gone too far. Clearly Macron is unwanted by enough of the populace to warrant stepping down.
If this is used, it will absolutely result in escalation. I don't think it's a real threat. I think they mentioned it to scare people. I think even just doing that might stir people up more.
Yes, the Gilets Jaunes have slowed down a bit, but the police repression has gotten much better from earlier weeks. It's also getting to be Christmas time. I don't think they will stop tho. I think they will be revamped after the new year. And Belgium *just* got their PM to step down because of protests, so I think that will spur the Giler Jaunes on more. And Britain is planning one for the 5th, so further spurring. @Bogatyr Bogumir
@SolidGold True, issue is im afriad that this will all culminate in say, one or two inches gained and then only to have the system revamp, give a little breathing room, people calm down, and then either place their guy in or a false revolutionary to give the people some satisfaction, before realizing that htis new guy is maing no ground

Yea, it's hard to say what a good outcome is exactly. Even removing Macron isn't really enough. But then it gets to be a question of what is the best government to have or where do we go from here.
IMO when people say remove the system I agree with it. the system is so incredibly broken as is that we need something new, new constitutions and everything. We cant keep playing by the same rules and expecting a new outcome, evn if we clean house, add some elbow grease and dust the entire place, those who enter it will simply become corrupt by the corruption that inherently exists in the system

Because then they can continue letting in immigrants while suppressing opposition.
And what happens when those immigrants who feel indebted to you for saving their life is given a citizenship and can vote?
You get a crapload of voters who are extremely pro-immigration, which most EU national leaders are.
This leads to a surge in power for globalism in Europe and a crippling blow to all Nationalist groups.
