Funny. I just randomly found out I have all of the same body measurements of Samwise Gamgee so that’s pretty weird.

Let Antifa do their worse. They can spam in my Discord all they want. I’ll just delete the chats and ban them. They’re blocked from commenting everywhere that matters. Whatever.

Barnie Sanders had a pretty good proposal recently:
"Col. Barnie Sanders (I-VT) and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) have introduced a bill that would tax companies like Amazon and Walmart for the cost of employees’ food stamps and other public assistance. Sanders’ Stop Bad Employers by Zeroing Out Subsidies Act (abbreviated “Stop BEZOS”) — along with Khanna’s House of Representatives counterpart, the Corporate Responsibility and Taxpayer Protection Act — would institute a 100 percent tax on government benefits that are granted to workers at large companies."

2018-09-05 18:49:41 UTC

So then businesses won't hire poor people and will become unprofitable if they don't.

2018-09-05 18:50:02 UTC

Sanders is the biggest fucking idiot in the world when it comes to anything involving fiscal responsibility.

2018-09-05 18:50:12 UTC

Id rather than abolish the welfare state in the first place.

2018-09-05 18:56:28 UTC

Right now Walmart is able to charge artificially low prices because it's able to pay artificially low wages. It turns a profit doing this only because it's tax subsidized. I would rather companies actually provide goods and services at the price they actually cost, rather than supporting the business most able to capture regulations. A law like this would mean that everyone in the work force would actually be supporting themselves, as opposed to some weird mixture of wealth redistribution and slave labor for corporations who can underpay.

2018-09-05 19:05:06 UTC

I agree with the sentiment, no way should tax payers be subsidising private business because they pay too little wages. The top tech billionaires are stupidly wealthy and can afford higher wages.

2018-09-05 19:06:21 UTC

"Stupidly wealthy" is always a fallacious accusation because most wealth for business owners is reinvested in the economy, not hoarded.

2018-09-05 19:06:27 UTC

That's why rich people get richer.

2018-09-05 19:06:40 UTC

If they hoarded their money they wouldn't get richer.

2018-09-05 19:07:21 UTC

Im not saying its not, I am for a free market, but government programs are interfering in the free market of labour

2018-09-05 19:07:36 UTC

by subsidising underproductive people

2018-09-05 19:07:38 UTC

You also are not entitled to high wages. You're entitled to wages that reflect your human capital. A boxboy isn't entitled to a high wage.

2018-09-05 19:07:46 UTC

Cashiers should be making minimum wage.

2018-09-05 19:07:57 UTC

There should be no minimum wage at all

2018-09-05 19:08:12 UTC

No cashiers should make whatever it costs to hire a cashier, not the difference between welfare and what it takes to hire a cashier

2018-09-05 19:08:13 UTC

You get whatever someone is willing to pay, and you are willing to accept.

2018-09-05 19:08:16 UTC

Win/Win

2018-09-05 19:09:22 UTC

Rather than a government like New York paying to subsidize poor people to live in the city and work as Baristas in Manhattan, the businesses in the city should be subject to market forces that require them to pay higher wages or lose their baristas.

2018-09-05 19:10:06 UTC

im with odin, god of economics on this one

2018-09-05 19:11:30 UTC

Irma is right for once

2018-09-05 19:12:03 UTC

Now... the issue of the safety net. Because where are legitimate areas of government power to be applied?

2018-09-05 19:12:17 UTC

You've yet to prove me wrong. So that's 100% accuracy.

2018-09-05 19:12:24 UTC

😎

2018-09-05 19:16:23 UTC

@Omniconsumerproducts It's hard to say what a good welfare policy is given the problems with central planning

2018-09-05 19:16:51 UTC

But if we're going to be giving out "gibs" I'd rather it be uniform so that there's no incentive to being a piece of shit loafer
