they have separate self-consciousnesses
this is new information
the self-distinction of God as man, as the Son is wholly divine
but still tempted as being in the body of man
but the Father does not receive the temptations
they are hypostases of the Godhead
Is the Godhead 3 branches from one trunk or is it 3 branches forming one trunk
*isnt the “Christian god” just Jesus’s interpretation of the Jewish god essentially*
look at this image
Pebble
Is the Godhead 3 branches from one trunk or is it 3 branches forming one trunk
(Monotheistic or polytheistic)
3 branches from one trunk
they are hypostases
So God willingly split himself into 3 beings?
they are his self-distinctions
yes
@Doctor Anon why are you so ChRiStIaN

Okay how about this. If divinity were to be a physical thing. Would it be 3 physical entities or would it be one single entity with 3 personalities/voices.
divinity is not a physical thing
*if* it were
it's not
im just phrasing it so i understand better
the question is going to confuse me
it's not translatable
ffs
Okay
hm
Is God, God itself, a conscious being
the Godhead, the *ousia*, the combination of the hypostases of the Trinity is considered unknowable
by both scholastic and eastern schools
This is very strange
Who am i praying to when i pray to God?
Am i praying to *God* as the single entity, or am praying to all 3?
Apologies for all the questions, im just confused.
You're praying to the Father
Aren’t your praying to the Holy Spirit and the father?
