No
the graph was wikipedia
lol
No it wasn’t
it is clearly wikipedia
because i say it is
It’s a well known fact these regimes skew the data
kind of like how you argue
yeah but the topic is different here
as in I gave you a source
the CIA classifies data that it knows is wrong is a heavy claim for you
well no shit
The CIA has been wrong
the source you gave makes the data being valid even more exemplary
???
even third parties agree with the calorie output as far back as 1960
unless a cornell paper is wrong too
because your presupposition of skewing
Hail Satan
“Shouldn’t we trust the official Soviet data?
The CIA begins their analysis by taking the official data and correcting it. Birman then corrects CIA data. The Soviets themselves admitted that some of the data was fabricated,”
The fact is the Soviet Union lied about many things including gdp growth
The same can be said about other authoritarian regimes
Anyways even if it WERE true
High quality diet =/= high calorie consumption
Literally this could be the case ,
Monday:
What’s for dinner? All the potatoes you can eat
Tuesday
What’s for dinner? All the potatoes you can eat
Wednesday
What’s for dinner? All the potatoes you can eat
Thursday
What’s for dinner? All the potatoes you can eat
Friday
What’s for dinner? All the potatoes you can eat
People lived like shit but the GDP was absurd
happens when you have huge aounts of territory and huge amounts of expendable lives
GDP PPP per capita for ussr was third world
Like Brazil now has a higher calorie intake than Sweden
not a measure for quality of life if you ask me
But this is all the case if the data isn’t skewed
Which it is
-> USSR managed to produce and compete with the US economy during its time, it was literally a powerhouse of GDP
again
completely expendable manpower
yes as in the stats were skewed on gdp growth
The strong GDP growth at the start was due to the USSR taking the technology from the west that they acquired , new equipment from the west . They were already a backward country before socialism and the war had caused damage that was needing to be repaired.
all of this lead to a GDP growth that was strong but may have been exaggerated by the state
