You don’t turn on em. Ever, or you’re a coward.
You think for the good of the group.
But to save the entire battalion sometimes others must be sacrificed.
If they’re injured and gonna die anyways yeah.
Otherwise, you don’t carry 75 pound packs on rucks for no reason.
During BCT atleast.
If I was able to survive id hope my mates save me.

You joined knowing the risk of sacrificing your life for your country, hell even for your brethren.

That is something I admire about the Japs pre WW2 is that once they enlisted if it got results they didn’t give one hoot about there life as long as they took as many of the enemy with them as they could.
Thats exactly how I will be when I join.

I know im joining at the risk of my life. If I die, I die.
I plan on it, yeah. After 4 years of military college.
Learning battle strategies, combat training etc.
Then bct then full on forces. I think I want to do it for life.
Nice. I think myself able to contribute to my country more in other ways so I will probably refrain from enlisting unless we are drawn into a significant war.
But good on you for wanting to serve your nation.
Taxes are a good way to contribute. Which I also pay.
