Food shortages don't usually happen too often anymore

And? Doesn’t mean they have the money to spend on food to last on missions they have no idea how long will last

You could get stranded on the lines under fire

If your on a life raft or a desert and there is a freshly dead guy on board and you haven’t eaten in weeks, well shit happens.

They get supplies shipped in as needed

They’re with you since BCT.

They are your brothers.

You don’t turn on em. Ever, or you’re a coward.

You think for the good of the group.

But to save the entire battalion sometimes others must be sacrificed.

If they’re injured and gonna die anyways yeah.

Otherwise, you don’t carry 75 pound packs on rucks for no reason.

During BCT atleast.

If I was able to survive id hope my mates save me.

Sometimes they can carry you out.

That is something I admire about the Japs pre WW2 is that once they enlisted if it got results they didn’t give one hoot about there life as long as they took as many of the enemy with them as they could.
