like im not saying Stalin didnt intelligent things

2019-10-17 08:32:53 UTC

saying they collapsed due to revisionism is an ideologically and ahistorical viewpoint

2019-10-17 08:33:03 UTC

like saying Rome fell due to christianity

2019-10-17 08:33:07 UTC

its cringe

2019-10-17 08:33:18 UTC

wrong. Capitalism was brought back to the USSR and class contradictions led to its fall

2019-10-17 08:33:35 UTC

Yeltsin's coup was backed by the bourgeoisie

2019-10-17 08:33:56 UTC

stalin did good things like actually build industrial bases rather than just relying on foreign production

2019-10-17 08:34:00 UTC

but thats about it

2019-10-17 08:34:33 UTC

dude it wasnt even capitalism and they literally just tried to decentralize cause they state couldnt bear its own weight

2019-10-17 08:34:41 UTC

im not a large fan of capitalism

2019-10-17 08:34:57 UTC

no gorbachev fucked the economy up with his privatisation reforms

2019-10-17 08:34:58 UTC

but the soviet alterative was a neat experiment that failed at best

2019-10-17 08:35:07 UTC

it was fucked before then

2019-10-17 08:35:18 UTC

hell you can just read about the economic stratification

2019-10-17 08:35:27 UTC

i'm a critic of the brezhnev era as well

2019-10-17 08:35:33 UTC

k

2019-10-17 08:36:01 UTC

if they had kept a stalin-era system the USSR would still exist

2019-10-17 08:36:42 UTC

i doubt it

2019-10-17 08:37:11 UTC

<:trump:517652683168153601>

2019-10-17 08:37:21 UTC

Khrushchev wrongly assumed that the USSR economy would maintain the same growth as stalin era

2019-10-17 08:38:15 UTC

ussr would not be kept under any circumstances.

2019-10-17 08:38:27 UTC

It was pure dictatorism

2019-10-17 08:38:36 UTC

And youre bla bla nonsense

2019-10-17 08:38:42 UTC

Because you like commies

2019-10-17 08:39:07 UTC

If i could i would definitely keep the centralized production for the military sector state controlled

2019-10-17 08:39:18 UTC

and for engines and so on as well

2019-10-17 08:39:30 UTC

in 1991 the USSR held a referendum, the only one they ever had which asked if the USSR should be kept, or abandoned. Overwhelmingly the result was to keep it, and even ukraine voted majority to stay

2019-10-17 08:39:41 UTC

i mean they did great in the finds for vehicles from that one czech company they gained after ww2

2019-10-17 08:39:48 UTC

of course Yeltsin didn't care about the referendum results and destroyed the ussr anyway

2019-10-17 08:40:18 UTC

i would love to see the ethnic breakdown of that

2019-10-17 08:40:30 UTC

central asians tend to hate the soviets from what ive seen

2019-10-17 08:40:44 UTC

basically because they were starved, invaded and whored

2019-10-17 08:41:02 UTC

but meh, turks werent indigenous to the central asian steppe anyways

2019-10-17 08:41:21 UTC

81.7% of ukranians voted to stay in USSR

2019-10-17 08:41:44 UTC

lol the way they word it

2019-10-17 08:41:47 UTC

"Do you consider necessary the preservation of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics as a renewed federation of equal sovereign republics in which the rights and freedom of an individual of any ethnicity will be fully guaranteed?"

2019-10-17 08:42:10 UTC

so basically change the soviet union rather than maintain

2019-10-17 08:42:21 UTC

yes they also wanted to change it a little

2019-10-17 08:42:25 UTC

a lot
