those two quotes seem to contradict each other though.
the first one claims that Trotsky was unwilling to sign Brest-Litovsk, beneficial to end the war. then the second one argues that Trotsky proposed Brest-Litovsk even though it was unfavorable.
@ajsbeast Bernie Sanders is not a socialist, even though he called himself one. He is a social democrat who has been an outspoken proponent of the "Nordic Model" which is just capitalism plus an extensive social safety net. It's Keynesian welfarism implemented by a Liberal Democratic state within the framework of capitalism.
In the US system that's serious change.

@ajsbeast The capitalist mode of production prevails in every single country that has implemented social democracy and they don't ever plan on moving beyond it to the socialist mode of production.
