in many religions there is one example of a 'great flood story'
Can’t deny that @Sarge
this actually makes senses because most proto civilizations started alongside river banks
which i mean
tend to flood?
They relied on the floods to survive
Except that one river in China that just flooded randomly with no fucks given
actually flooding in the unpredictable sense is detrimental to early proto-civlizations, a predictable annual river flow is better.
at least for agriculture
another thing is there very very very common 'god of harvest' in religions
even nature worship worships the concept of 'harvest'
Because you know, food
because most proto-civlizations required i guess agriculture.
Then it is hierarchical lmao
Food is great
food is good
There’s often tales about how we got fire becuase fire was real big
^zoroastrianism is the oldest religion
monothesitic*
Zoroastrianism is one if my favorites tbh
Although most of them involve some dude yoinking fire from the gods
yeah and getting.... roasted 😎
Dab
no
jfc don't steal fire from gods k?
it's that simple
how about the hero's tale?
One of my favorite stories is the tale of narcissus where he drowns himself on accident lol
for example jesus is actually a hero
if you think about it
Follows the heroes cycle and all that
yes
even the hero's sacrifice bit.
My favorite protagonist is JeSuS
mine too
tbh my favourite thing about christanity some dude in 1600s wrote some fanfiction about hell
and we're all like
"yeah that's what hell is like."
all those other hero protagonists are just failed copy cats
