Equality of opportunity
not equality of equity
"libertarianism is just anarchy for rich people"
Who tf said that
Lol what are you talking about
that is autism
Anarchy and Libertarianism are two completely different things
^
that's a paraphrase tbh
"A libertarian is just an anarchist on the gold standard." - Alexis Gilliland
^ here's the original quote
Never heard of her
And that's not at all what we stand for
What a shitshow of a discussion
Y'all ready for war commie scum
@tsarsNeezy A core misunderstanding is what you said about "equality of equity". The thing is, both libertarians and socialists, or people who both believe in equality, *both* believe in "equal opportunity". They just have different ideas for achieving that. No actual ideologue wants a "Harrison Bergeron" society where everyone is *literally* equal

Also to my comrades- when they say small government, they mean small *vertically*. You are thinking of big government *horizontally*. If that makes any sense.
wow rick using politicord more than philocord
i see how it is
Maybe you should actually start discussing things with me instead of "***READ THE MANIFESTO, RICK***" @gribos
maybe if u read the manifesto we could discuss it..
Have you read the communist manifesto, Gribos
Or any leftist work
yes
ive read the communist manifesto
Alright Gribos
After I'm done reading the stuff that is actually a part of the western canon, I will read Ted's book
Remember, I'm not actually an active reader. I'm trying to stick to the stuff that will actually help me in my future career
acceptable
what career btw
Either pure academic philosophy or something politically-related
Likely something in between or something close
gay
taking the joshpill and doing pure philosophy is probably more fun but less employable
See
I'm quite familiar with the consequences of academic philosophy @gribos
I still have other options
