:/

2018-06-25 19:20:39 UTC

The councils, are elected in the local elections.

2018-06-25 19:20:47 UTC

And then we have the government itself.

2018-06-25 19:21:08 UTC

Our government is literally pathetic. They spend more time insulting one another than actually trying to fix issues in the country.

2018-06-25 19:21:34 UTC

And that's when there is a majority party.

2018-06-25 19:21:38 UTC

Coalitions are even fucking worse.

2018-06-25 19:22:17 UTC

Because in Coalitions, the parties aren't just attempting to win a petty, little word battle; they also vote against/stop one another from enacting their policies at all costs.

2018-06-25 19:22:42 UTC

Even when the policies are agreed upon, one of the parties will attempt to stop it because they don't like the idea of their opponents putting it in, instead of them.

2018-06-25 19:24:10 UTC

Theresa May is a liar, she voted to remain and was one of the key remain campaigners, and now she's had a change of heart? It's a fucking lie, she is agreeing with a lot of which the EU wants. She wants to remove us by name, not by law. We will still be accountable by Brussels, just not an actual member of the EU.

2018-06-25 19:26:10 UTC

And then we have Corbyn, the man is an economic failure, he has no idea how economics work and his party are a bunch of emotional little twats who constantly cry about how the other party is being unfair. Corbyn voted to leave the EU, which is what makes me laugh, because many Labour supporters voted for Corbyn on the grounds that he would "keep Britain in the EU" because he never actually shared his opinion on BREXIT, he voted to leave. Though his reasoning is because he wants to nationalise specific industries and he can only do that if Britain is out of the EU because the EU does not allow nationalisation.

2018-06-25 19:27:28 UTC

We have a weak and corrupt government, that is ruled by an even more corrupt government, made up of foreign nations, with no ties to our lands.

2018-06-25 19:28:04 UTC

But then we can go into even more depth with our democracy: our people do not listen to reason.

2018-06-25 19:28:28 UTC

They have this sick and twisted idea of looking at the long term, this is how fucking Cameron kept getting in.

2018-06-25 19:28:45 UTC

Everyone fucking hated Cameron, he was a fucking joke, he was a little bitch and he continually went back on his promises,

2018-06-25 19:29:01 UTC

yet he kept getting voted in because people have this mentality of "Well it will be better next time"

2018-06-25 19:29:16 UTC

And "Oh just give him a chance, he can fix it next time".

2018-06-25 19:29:22 UTC

Always a fucking next time, never fucking now.

2018-06-25 19:29:47 UTC

Scipio are you ok

2018-06-25 19:29:52 UTC

You’re venting lmao

2018-06-25 19:30:20 UTC

I'm fine, just typing out my thoughts, can't watch my TV show cause the fucking thing crashed so.

2018-06-25 19:30:39 UTC

Anyway. Another issue is our party whips. We have no sort of autonomy for the MPs.

2018-06-25 19:30:50 UTC

If the party leader votes one way, ALL THE MPS VOTE THAT WAY.

2018-06-25 19:30:51 UTC

you should join the server I invited you to scip

2018-06-25 19:30:55 UTC

although Syria is at war now

2018-06-25 19:31:03 UTC

This is why fucking Labour got cucked,

2018-06-25 19:31:15 UTC

so many of it's members left because they were fucking tired of Corbyn.

2018-06-25 19:31:25 UTC

And he continually refused to listen to them.

2018-06-25 19:31:56 UTC

Granted what they were asking for was wrong, though at the same time, I'd argue that the fact he refused to listen, is worse.

2018-06-25 19:32:09 UTC

There is no point in joining parliament as an MP because you have no fucking say.

2018-06-25 19:32:15 UTC

You either vote with the party, or you fuck off.

2018-06-25 19:32:21 UTC

That's how it's been for fucking years.

2018-06-25 19:33:53 UTC

And then we have the shit that is leadership tradition. No matter who becomes leader of a party, they will act in the same way as the leader before, we do not get new leaders, we do not get good changes. Now this was broken on one occasion, where Mr Corbyn went full socialist and changed the Labour party from a Conservative Lite, to Socialist Heaven.

2018-06-25 19:34:11 UTC

But then that leads me to my next point: even if there is change, it's always change for the worse.

2018-06-25 19:34:31 UTC

It's always a new blend of stupidity that the British people have to suffer under.

2018-06-25 19:35:03 UTC

Our elections are simple, you either vote for the first idiot, or the second idiot.

2018-06-25 19:35:41 UTC

There is no point in voting for smaller parties, because they will never get in, because no one fucking listens to reason, because everyone has the "OH IT WILL GET BETTER NEXT TIME" mentality.

2018-06-25 19:36:10 UTC

It's a cycle of retardation and corruption that stems back many fucking years.

2018-06-25 19:36:17 UTC

Mhm

2018-06-25 19:36:56 UTC

And we will never get rid of it unless we fucking remove the government, and put in place a new one. :/ This is the issue with British politics, it's a fucking wheel, and until you break the fucking wheel, it never stops.

2018-06-25 19:37:41 UTC

Neither side ever gets what they want because every time a new Prime Minister is elected, they either go back on their promises, or completely ignore them, and do different things.

2018-06-25 19:37:48 UTC

Don’t make a game of thrones reference, anyone reading this
