As well as our constituent local councils raising their wages instead of spending money on infrastructure.
We have it here in the Merseyside county, many of our public funded clubs and facilities got shut down, because our council decided to raise their wages, spending all the government funding, which meant that more funding had to be put in, as well as restrictions.
We have a similar thing in the government when it comes down to departments. There are cases in which people are hired by the government for a specific job, because they said that they can do it, and then, 3 years later, when it turns out that the fuckers can't do what they said they could, the government keeps them on, because the people in charge do not like to admit that they were wrong.
And these are people whom we elected into power.
:/
The councils, are elected in the local elections.
And then we have the government itself.
Our government is literally pathetic. They spend more time insulting one another than actually trying to fix issues in the country.
And that's when there is a majority party.
Coalitions are even fucking worse.
Because in Coalitions, the parties aren't just attempting to win a petty, little word battle; they also vote against/stop one another from enacting their policies at all costs.
Even when the policies are agreed upon, one of the parties will attempt to stop it because they don't like the idea of their opponents putting it in, instead of them.
Theresa May is a liar, she voted to remain and was one of the key remain campaigners, and now she's had a change of heart? It's a fucking lie, she is agreeing with a lot of which the EU wants. She wants to remove us by name, not by law. We will still be accountable by Brussels, just not an actual member of the EU.
And then we have Corbyn, the man is an economic failure, he has no idea how economics work and his party are a bunch of emotional little twats who constantly cry about how the other party is being unfair. Corbyn voted to leave the EU, which is what makes me laugh, because many Labour supporters voted for Corbyn on the grounds that he would "keep Britain in the EU" because he never actually shared his opinion on BREXIT, he voted to leave. Though his reasoning is because he wants to nationalise specific industries and he can only do that if Britain is out of the EU because the EU does not allow nationalisation.
We have a weak and corrupt government, that is ruled by an even more corrupt government, made up of foreign nations, with no ties to our lands.
But then we can go into even more depth with our democracy: our people do not listen to reason.
They have this sick and twisted idea of looking at the long term, this is how fucking Cameron kept getting in.
Everyone fucking hated Cameron, he was a fucking joke, he was a little bitch and he continually went back on his promises,
yet he kept getting voted in because people have this mentality of "Well it will be better next time"
And "Oh just give him a chance, he can fix it next time".
Scipio are you ok
You’re venting lmao
I'm fine, just typing out my thoughts, can't watch my TV show cause the fucking thing crashed so.
Anyway. Another issue is our party whips. We have no sort of autonomy for the MPs.
If the party leader votes one way, ALL THE MPS VOTE THAT WAY.
you should join the server I invited you to scip
although Syria is at war now
This is why fucking Labour got cucked,
so many of it's members left because they were fucking tired of Corbyn.
And he continually refused to listen to them.
Granted what they were asking for was wrong, though at the same time, I'd argue that the fact he refused to listen, is worse.
There is no point in joining parliament as an MP because you have no fucking say.
You either vote with the party, or you fuck off.
That's how it's been for fucking years.
And then we have the shit that is leadership tradition. No matter who becomes leader of a party, they will act in the same way as the leader before, we do not get new leaders, we do not get good changes. Now this was broken on one occasion, where Mr Corbyn went full socialist and changed the Labour party from a Conservative Lite, to Socialist Heaven.
But then that leads me to my next point: even if there is change, it's always change for the worse.
It's always a new blend of stupidity that the British people have to suffer under.
Our elections are simple, you either vote for the first idiot, or the second idiot.
There is no point in voting for smaller parties, because they will never get in, because no one fucking listens to reason, because everyone has the "OH IT WILL GET BETTER NEXT TIME" mentality.
It's a cycle of retardation and corruption that stems back many fucking years.
