And yes,
my country has censorship.
It's also led by a Southern government, which would explain why.
Letting go of the traditional interpretation of marriage would be good
But the U.K. isn't much better than indonesia in that regard
In which regard?
Many Christians still view marriage in the traditional way
No..
Mate..
In Indonesia, by law, you have to be a Muslim to marry a Muslim.
._.
Both Islamic and Christian interpretations of marriage are outdated
In the UK,
it's free for all faiths.
:/
We do different religious marriages.
In Christian countries you have to be a Christian to marry a Christian typically. Only difference is one is enforced by society and one is enforced by law.
Heh,
and which Christian country are you refering to?
The United Kingdom?
If so, you have definently not spent enough time here.
Lol
Secularism has made great progress in still majority Christian nations thankfully
Eh, hopefully Secularism never works.
That is contradictory
Would rather keep the religious representation in HL.
You just criticized Indonesia for enforcing their religious views of marriage by law, which is connecting religion to the state, yet you are advocate for the same thing
You are either a secularist or you are not a secularist
You understand that the UK is a none secular nation yet allows mixed religious marriage?
You treat this as black and white.
Why do you apply a different standard to Indonesia than you do the U.K.?
If anything, we have learned that nothing is black and white.
It is a secular nation more than it isn't.
LOL
Yes, you have definently not spent enough time here.
In regards to the government and laws
What does my time here have to do with anything we are discussing?
You understand that representatives from the Anglican Church actually help create our laws?
We have 26 bishops in the House of Lords.
Speaking of which I still have to do quite a bit.
