yeah I'm looking at the warmaps now
Providing Syria with a welcome boost in state revenue.
ISIS is trapped in bubbles and the rebels are plastered to the border, good stuff
The only concern is Turkey and the Kurds. The Kurds have called for direct negotiations with Damascus however with NO preconditions. This is a very cordial invitation.
The Kurds have also stated they don't wish to secede from Syria, simply for greater autonomy. The specific outline of this autonomy is what's most important however.
Yeah I think he does have to find a way to keep things calm with Turkey if he's going to be cordial with the Kurds.
The Kurds, backed by the US, will likely look to curb Syrian state revenue by asserting majority Kurdish economic control over hydrocarbon-rich regions under Kurdish control. (Northern Syria, which is under chiefly Kurdish control, provides 90% of state revenue to Assad's government due to it being extremely rich in natural gas).
The US will likely look to strangle Syria's ability to finance itself so Russia has to pour more funds into the war and thereby weaken Russia financially and economically further.
Russia's already struggling deeply economically due to sanctions causing a contraction in their export market and a severe depreciation of the Russian currency.
I don’t care about the Middle East Personally
It's important
yes, because you're a brainlet.
I think both Kikes and Mudslimes are evil
If things get unstable, we get more refugees, that's the thing
Right now the Kurdish public school system is already funded by the central government.
The consequences over there have an effect on the west, so we do need an eye on it
The Middle East is an essential battleground for the US-Russian rivalry and the global Jewish system of geopolitical and financial control.
Some of the most important corridors for natural gas and oil transmission are in the Middle East.
Energy is the name of the game.

Two good articles detailing the central importance of pipelines in past conflicts like Iraq and Afghanistan as well as the modern Syrian conflict.
Lex, are you the dude on /sg/ who makes the cool maps?
I've made some of these.
The one I sent yes.
I meant the Australian guy who replaced Ebin actually.
Nah.
Figures.

Does anyone else think this damages the pollster's reputation?
Gallup has posted some very pro-GOP material before. I think ultimately individuals offer requests for information which they know will provide a certain result and Gallup acquiesces.
They're likely personally asked by someone prominent/perhaps paid off to conduct research in this area.
I don't doubt the accuracy of the result however.
Teachers tend to be a very left wing slanted profession.
In this particular poll it was left open-ended
It may have been in COMPARISON to the nearest suggestion. Many perhaps said "I don't know" or perhaps there were many options.
But yes, that's definitely worrisome.
They should have provided more information to clarify what they mean by "overwhelming"
Pretty much yes
Once you get into it it's very vague and hard to tell how "overwhelming" is defined
