North Korea becomes a practical Chinese puppet state, nukes are out of the hands of a mad man, families can reunite, less people starve, we can pull some millitary out of South Korea.

Amazing optics and many good things would come.

I thought the goal was reunification

The goal is denuclearization.

Reunification isn't feasible.

And, we could make a trade deal with China that helps us.

LOTS of demand for goods like beef, baby formula, anything that isn't poisoned.

We could really help our farmers and food industry in general.

And, help our industry by sending over high quality products that China cannot make.

You need to get reunification if you want an actual win with this much trading-off.

We at least need more postal protectionism.
