The Dems cannot put all of the blame for DACA failing on Trump
He can easily argue this on a constitutional basis

If he came out in September and decided to end DACA and send ICE down immediately, then you could make that argument.
I think this will end well for the Rs and for us 100%.
If they capitulate, we get everything we want and the "dreamers" will screech at them, if they don't then they can't get their new voters and the "dreamers" will screech at them (this time surrounded by ICE).
It's a catch-22 in the best way possible.

Ever since the "I have a bigger nuclear button" line, they seem to have been pacified, opening conversation lines with the south, not really taunting the US.
You bet it would, no amount of media shilling could change that.
They can pull the "id's obama's egonomy" line when they're talking about the economic boom, but foreign policy as of J20 2017 is 100% Trump's responsibility.

Maybe a backchannel deal w/ the Chinese/Americans in exchange for him living comfy
But if something this monumental is accomplished, it would be a major deal, we could pull our troops out of East Asia, and the only existential threat to the US would be completely neutralized.
We could stop needing to give aid to SK and Japan, and reallocate those resources back to the US.
Politically it's useful, and practically, it's even better.
