with no alternative theory there is no point in looking as to why the first is bad

I'm familiar with basic chemistry, and germ theory, viruses and bacteria make alot of sense, I am sure we actually have seen bacteria under a microscope

its more than just theory when you can find proof that backs it up with evidence

I have looked at organisms thru a microscope

I seen a hydra in water

living organisms in our water

But you don't know if they cause disease

its a small organism that lives in tap water

You've been told

hydras don't cause disease, they are just a normal small organism in water

Then alternative theory is just as applicable

so small we don't even know they exist for the most part unless you are educated

flat earth theory has been around for many many years, way before global nonsense

It's a historic theory, much like FE

we have geocentrism and heliocentrism, both have been competiting theories for awhile now

not really competing

they were debating it for quite awhile

Germ theory was also debates until Coxs postulates proved it

you know what, doctors all agreed that ulcers were created by worry

they kinda are, still

Unless you have done it yourself you can't say for certain it isn't bad smell

one student doctor came along and said it was caused by bacteria

they didn't believe it, but they tested it to disprove him

and they found out he was right, so now we can treat most ulcers with biotics

thanks to this one student doctor

and that is the benefit of real science where they are willing to test it and disprove it
