I can't see a 1000 meter line for example, but 86 km is easy to notice
yeah too bad google earth doesnt let u zoom out farther you would see
they only let u zoom out 40 thousand miles
u think u can still see that line if u were anotehr 200,000 miles away ?
Hm,
Idk, would be hard to make out with the eye
whats ur honest opinion
I don't think so
yeah of course not
No, I doubt it
no way u are seeing that another 200k miles out
So what is your point?
the moon is 238k miles away
about 200k more miles than u were zoomed out just now
198k more miles give or take
u can see a crater on the moon its called tycho with the naked eye its 86 km in diameter
I'll look it up
Oh yeah, that one
The most noticeable
86 km in diameter we can see from earth
do u think in that photo it is possible to see something on earth 86 km in diameter
what do u think
Hm, I'd want angular diameter calculations given that size and distance, and compare it to pixel measurements of the crater on a picture to get angular diameter of that.
I'll try angular diameter of the crater
u dont need some crazy math for this
the diameter of the crater is 86 km lol
But we kinda do in order to solidify the argument?
ok the diameter of the crater is 86 diameters why do u need more info than that
we can see it from earth
u cant see an 86 km thing the other direction
I need distance as well
Not exact, but that is 238k miles?
384,400 km
It comes to 0.013 degrees
Angular resolution for the eye is generally about 0.02 degrees
Can you see it with the naked eye?
death
or somethign
