itsame u can see it done on google earth or u can watch astrals video where the guy makes his own earth and sun and does it there

2019-04-23 23:02:45 UTC

It is easy for me to visualize, I don't get what is so hard

2019-04-23 23:03:14 UTC

link him ur video astral

2019-04-23 23:03:24 UTC

east is based on your local point where you stand, and parallel to your line of longitude

2019-04-23 23:03:26 UTC

of sly sparkane

2019-04-23 23:03:49 UTC

itsame watch the video i linked i think east takes u to the equator

2019-04-23 23:04:11 UTC

he already doesnt think u end up at the equator so dont watch astrals his is what i am opposing

2019-04-23 23:04:14 UTC

I wish I could post pictures here

2019-04-23 23:04:50 UTC

@jeremy yes if you travelled at an initial heading of east, you'd eventually cross teh equator, that would effectively put you in the same path as an orbit with the inclination of your latitude

2019-04-23 23:05:12 UTC

ok

2019-04-23 23:05:14 UTC

boom

2019-04-23 23:05:18 UTC

perfect

2019-04-23 23:05:26 UTC

try telling these guys

2019-04-23 23:05:45 UTC

but that's if you're stuck to the surface

2019-04-23 23:05:51 UTC

light rays are not stuck to the surface they come from the sun

2019-04-23 23:06:11 UTC

No, you wouldn't cross the equator, not dead reckoning east.

2019-04-23 23:06:21 UTC

@AstralSentient well wait lemme think

2019-04-23 23:06:24 UTC

b/c i think you would

2019-04-23 23:06:40 UTC

if you set your initial heading as east, and never adjusted it again, didn't look at a compass

2019-04-23 23:06:54 UTC

your magnetic heading wouldnt' stay east

2019-04-23 23:07:33 UTC

this is not cut and dry as some people thing

2019-04-23 23:07:47 UTC

think

2019-04-23 23:07:52 UTC

Dead reckoning would be directionally east, not based on compass.

2019-04-23 23:08:03 UTC

at the start?

2019-04-23 23:08:08 UTC

or throughout the journey

2019-04-23 23:08:21 UTC

u are in new york u go east at the sunrise on the equinox

2019-04-23 23:09:05 UTC

I'm talking throughout, staying on an east path, relative to your starting position

2019-04-23 23:09:54 UTC

well you'd need a compass to do that

2019-04-23 23:10:13 UTC

which i guess is dead reckoning still

2019-04-23 23:10:14 UTC

Mark it on a map or globe

2019-04-23 23:10:38 UTC

but imagine you start on a heading of 90 and never 'turn' left nor right

2019-04-23 23:10:45 UTC

eventaully your magnetic heading will change

2019-04-23 23:10:54 UTC

you wuoldn't follow a line of latitude in that case

2019-04-23 23:11:11 UTC

yeah i know

2019-04-23 23:11:19 UTC

u end up at the equator

2019-04-23 23:11:24 UTC

@jeremy and past it

2019-04-23 23:11:34 UTC

now ur gettin crazy

2019-04-23 23:11:34 UTC

and south of it, then you'd return back to where you started

2019-04-23 23:11:43 UTC

lol
