yeah go to the beach watch a ship go out to sea it disappears then u can zoom in and see the ship again

2019-05-06 18:19:10 UTC

eventually it disappears yes we dont know if its from curvature or its an illusion due to perspective angular resolution and refraction along with the inverse square law

2019-05-06 18:20:41 UTC

It's the refraction causing the ship to still be viewable most likely

2019-05-06 18:20:53 UTC

thats one theory

2019-05-06 18:23:02 UTC

How about the good old sunset test

2019-05-06 18:23:40 UTC

?

2019-05-06 18:23:44 UTC

what sunset test

2019-05-06 18:24:08 UTC

Somewhere where you have a decent unobstructed view of the sun as it sets and also a building at least a couple of stories high or just a decently tall hill

2019-05-06 18:24:33 UTC

Watch the sun set from the lower position, climb to the top of whatever it is you're next to, and you should be able to see it set again

2019-05-06 18:24:34 UTC

we cant just the shape of the thing we are on by objects moving around in the sky it would also be silly to jsut hte shape of what we are on by the shape of the objects int he sky

2019-05-06 18:25:01 UTC

ur angular resolution changes so u can see farther the higher u get

2019-05-06 18:25:14 UTC

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean in the first one

2019-05-06 18:25:20 UTC

its not a mystery seeing farther the higher u go

2019-05-06 18:25:25 UTC

And as for the second, what is an "angular resolution"

2019-05-06 18:25:42 UTC

u should look into it

2019-05-06 18:25:57 UTC

i cant give u a crash course in it

2019-05-06 18:25:58 UTC

I want you to explain it to me

2019-05-06 18:26:32 UTC

if u go in a long hallway and put a camera on the floor and look down the hallway u will see more of the ceiling if u put the camera on the ceiling u will see more of the floor

2019-05-06 18:26:51 UTC

ur standing on earth u are seeing more of the floor so if u go higher u can see more of the floor

2019-05-06 18:26:59 UTC

That's because the floor is blocking part of your FoV

2019-05-06 18:27:04 UTC

Or ceiling

2019-05-06 18:27:16 UTC

ok

2019-05-06 18:27:35 UTC

so when u go higher u can see more of the earth

2019-05-06 18:30:15 UTC

idk

2019-05-06 18:30:48 UTC

ur on the ground ur seeing less of the ground more sky. if u go h igher u can see more of the ground does that not make sense

2019-05-06 18:32:02 UTC

thats how it works in the halwlay right u go higher u see more of the floor

2019-05-06 18:33:14 UTC

like i said im not sure if the earth is flat or sphere we would have to have some rock solid proof

2019-05-06 18:34:54 UTC

How about a photo from 1947 from up high, with first V2 rockets

2019-05-06 18:36:06 UTC

are v2 rockets the german ones ?

2019-05-06 18:36:08 UTC

Yeah

2019-05-06 18:36:22 UTC

I'd post an image, but I'm not allowed to embed media

2019-05-06 18:36:25 UTC

u knwo they used to fake rocket tech to show to hitler to get more funding ?

2019-05-06 18:37:01 UTC

Sorta

2019-05-06 18:37:04 UTC

No, where is proof of that

2019-05-06 18:37:18 UTC

oh weird said sorta u say no proof u guys should debate it

2019-05-06 18:37:19 UTC

They showed him stuff and said, look, this almost works, but we need more money

2019-05-06 18:37:23 UTC

Yes Germans hit London with V2s.

2019-05-06 18:37:34 UTC

With mock-ups

2019-05-06 18:37:36 UTC

Well they got em working that's for sure

2019-05-06 18:37:44 UTC

Yeah, they got them working

2019-05-06 18:37:57 UTC

I have no doubts about any of that stuff
