They had to crop it. Linear perspective remeber? Objects get smaller with distance. The lenses might not even have the same FOV at all which will cause perspective distortion on top of all of it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perspective_distortion_(photography)

FYI. They had to crop the image to make them the same apparent size.

That gif is based on FOV not distance

the only way to do it without cropping would be to change the focal depth

which you cannot do on a phone camera
