Our past experiences can influence our perceptions, I agree. However I recognize this flaw and struggle every day to prevent that from happening.

it has limitations, but without it, you wouldnt be able to function properly in the world. For example, if you are looking at a new dresser and you see these rectanglear section on the front with handles. What are they and how do they function?
After removing all the fluff in your comment, I can come to this conclusion. It is your need to use past experience to come to your conclusions and thereby function properly.
