The only time I ever use emojis is when I accidentally hit the emoji button on my phone, and then since the keyboard freezes for a second, I keep typing, thinking it’s still the regular keyboard, and I get a ton of emojis instead.

Our past experiences can influence our perceptions, I agree. However I recognize this flaw and struggle every day to prevent that from happening.
