a vacuum is one of the lightest things out there, so a helium balloon wouldn't float

and both are gas in nature

a drone wont fly because there is no medium

what they do to generate thrust

they are propelling gas out the back end to push it forward

in an atmosphere they have something to push off of

and something to push into

which slows down the rocket

in a vacuum they have nothing to push off of

rocket won't move

and nothing to push into

you have a guy with a master's degree in technical physics
