I would go somewhere between 12.5 and 16 for a multipurpose rifle

I got an 11.5" because it's not much longer, and it boots the velocity a decent amount.

And I have 2 Aero uppers, and one Del-ton rifle, and one PSA upper I think.

I use my AK for bedside defense.

With dedicated defense rounds to reduce over penetration.
