You know... I wanted one... but, I just crossed 416s off of my list.

2020-04-30 04:44:27 UTC

Okay I mean you can find them for like, 4,500, sheesh guys

2020-04-30 04:44:57 UTC

Yeah, I refuse to pay for than 2k for any kind of rifle. And even then, I don't wanna pay more than 1k, lmao

2020-04-30 04:45:11 UTC

...haha

2020-04-30 04:45:17 UTC

So uh, I meant to ask in the Facebook group but for some reason didnt.
Do those "anti spall" sleeves actually work on plates?

2020-04-30 04:45:23 UTC

my wasr cost me 600

2020-04-30 04:45:26 UTC

I might make the sacrifice for a BCM though when I get back of the desert place.

2020-04-30 04:45:34 UTC

BUY CERAMIC

2020-04-30 04:45:41 UTC

Call me a shill because I am

2020-04-30 04:45:47 UTC

My AK cost me... 650 I think.

2020-04-30 04:45:53 UTC

>limiting yourself based on price and not understanding capabilities and buying for mission

2020-04-30 04:46:06 UTC

Steel armor sucks. That’s it.

2020-04-30 04:46:10 UTC

I won't settle for anything less but if worse comes to worse I'll pick someone's ar500 armor off them

2020-04-30 04:46:14 UTC

I know I know. I literally saw that post talking about it like the day after I paid for a spartan armor systems plate package.

2020-04-30 04:46:15 UTC

Well I've looked at capabilities, and the BCMs are rather nice...

2020-04-30 04:46:43 UTC

Yeah... I made a dumb decision and bought steel. I would like to upgrade to ceramics down the line though.

2020-04-30 04:46:49 UTC

Wish the Army had let me keep mine...

2020-04-30 04:46:59 UTC

That's why I was asking about the spell sleeves.

2020-04-30 04:47:26 UTC

I see they have a coating already, which from what I saw MIGHT help.?

2020-04-30 04:47:30 UTC

BCM’s are pretty nice.

2020-04-30 04:47:34 UTC

They are ok

2020-04-30 04:47:40 UTC

But I'd get the coating

2020-04-30 04:47:42 UTC

Just... coat the entire plate in flex seal

2020-04-30 04:47:50 UTC

The coating will stop like, one round center mass at directly 90 degrees from immediately killing you.

2020-04-30 04:48:03 UTC

Wow what a deal

2020-04-30 04:48:27 UTC

Add duct tape and then flex than spall coating

2020-04-30 04:48:43 UTC

The poors can improvise!

2020-04-30 04:48:49 UTC

Fuck I wish I saved my anti-steel rant from a few months a go when a literal AR500 shill was trying to be smart

2020-04-30 04:49:15 UTC

Sure, the steel will hold up. But the person won't. Hahaha

2020-04-30 04:49:22 UTC

Honestly I had no idea what I was doing. I just new I needed something rather than nothing

2020-04-30 04:49:32 UTC

what's wrong with steel plates?

2020-04-30 04:49:36 UTC

just curious

2020-04-30 04:49:37 UTC

I run steel anyways, because it's what I have and it's good for weight training.

2020-04-30 04:49:49 UTC

Steel spalls, causing shrapnel basically.

2020-04-30 04:50:09 UTC

The spall from the round will end up in your chin/neck from what I gathered

2020-04-30 04:50:28 UTC

That’s problem 1 out of like 30

2020-04-30 04:50:31 UTC

Just buy an eod suit for $18,000

2020-04-30 04:50:31 UTC

I've heard you can use truck bed liner to coat it

2020-04-30 04:50:35 UTC

lol

2020-04-30 04:50:36 UTC

Spalling. Steel is also typically velocity penetrable as well, meaning that with more velocity, the more a round can hurt it.

2020-04-30 04:50:49 UTC

Truck bed liner doesn’t do that it’s *literally* a meme
