HAS LOTS OF BOOKS, BALD DUDE; I'LL REMEMBER
NO, ROOSHV IS GOOD BY ME EVEN IF THE PUA STUFF IS DODGY
I try to stay away from the manosphere especially the MGTOWs and PUAs
YES
WEIRD STUFF
SEEMS CONTRARY TO GOAL
BUT
ROOSH HAS BROUGHT A LOT OF PEOPLE TOWARD TRADITIONALISM
AMAZING THE MANY PATHS THAT LEAD TO THE SAME DESTINATIONS
amazing in deed. hell i remember when i was a little guy back about age 15 reading Ayn Rand and thinking it was brilliant. i went back to read it about three years ago, and realized how bad the writing is and how lame the philosophy is
TRUE
NIETZSCHE LITE
BUT SHE DID HATE COMMUNISM WITH A PASSION THAT WAS COMMENDABLE
yea, in a way you couild say she got me reading more important thinkers, so I'm happy I stumbled upon her work even though it's got the intellecutal firepower of a 13 yar old playing romeo in the school play
THERE MUST BE LEARNER TEXTS SOMEWHERE I SUPPOSE
BETTER PERHAPS TO HAVE KIDS READ LITERATURE
LEARN HOW TO LEARN
I think things like language (english for example) should be tied to 1. the history of the region and 2. should involve a concurrnet history class, possibly with a summer trip to said country
and I like the phrase "learn how to learn"
i usually just tell my students education si like a fire to be ignited not a cup to be filled
@diversity_is_racism I started reading roosh all the way back in 2007... he accurately catalogued how to "succeed" in our broken world, realized the source, and was one of the first people to stand up to the SJW mob
He's turned into a philosopher at this point now it seems
I was just watching X-Files reruns tonight... what a different time that was from
AGREED ON GENERAL IDEA OF EDUCATION @Jossi
I DO NOT KNOW HOW ONE TEACHES LITERATURE WITHOUT SOME HISTORY AT LEAST
@Yarbles YES, GOOD POINT -- HE TOOK IT SOMEWHERE INTERESTING
THE 90s WERE AN INNOCENT DECADE
BEFORE THE 1960s REFORMS ENACTED IN THE 90s REALLY HIT
BUT ALSO
A TIME OF GREAT INSTABILITY
KILL THE BOOMERS
yea it's something important to me, so i try to work with our english dpt to make sure our cirriculim is consonant with each other
MOST ENGLISH DEPARTMENTS ARE TOO INVADED FOR THAT NOW
NON WHITE KIDS DO NOT UNDERSTAND JANE AUSTEN
FOR EXAMPLE
AND HAVE NO REASON TO CARE ABOUT IT
There are a lot of things they don't understand nor care to. Most of them lack any sort of curiosity or wonder. That's truely the realm of the neanderthal whites
X-Files is great because it's pre 9/11 but post USSR
And in the mean time the govt just ends up fighting made up shit and it's own deep state apparatus
i think we should maek "great books" an official college major
if i get on at TUlane that's my first action: establish a great books cirriculum
