@Lemonier doing well thx. How bout you?

2019-01-31 04:05:30 UTC

Light is slightly bent, making long distances possible, that’s why you can still see daylight even though there is no sun.

2019-01-31 04:05:44 UTC

quite fine, i'm surprised i haven't expired yet considering lemons have a life span of only a month or two

2019-01-31 04:06:36 UTC

feels good to *live*

2019-01-31 04:06:44 UTC

@Percy Kens that's because light is bouncing off the air molecules. Not because gravity is bending it. You should really look more into this false claim you are making.

2019-01-31 04:06:52 UTC

Eh

2019-01-31 04:06:55 UTC

I mean still

2019-01-31 04:07:16 UTC

It was worth a try

2019-01-31 04:08:43 UTC

Worth a try? What was? Making a false claim to try and fool people into the belief of a globe in a vacuum?

2019-01-31 04:09:06 UTC

@Citizen Z i dont really want to argue so ill try to refrain doing this later, but all i have to say is that when light bounces around air molecules, it causes scattering in *all* directions, causing diffusion. The effect Percy is explaining is light traveling along a curved path in a given direction and it cant be what causes diffusion.

2019-01-31 04:09:14 UTC

are you a globe earther?
if so why don't u have the role @Percy Kens

2019-01-31 04:09:25 UTC

it's not that hard <#539316279086022666>

2019-01-31 04:09:31 UTC

o

2019-01-31 04:09:37 UTC

@Lemonier percy was claiming gravity bends the light.

2019-01-31 04:09:42 UTC

I mean, I’m kinda nothing

2019-01-31 04:09:44 UTC

well, it does

2019-01-31 04:09:55 UTC

wait

2019-01-31 04:09:58 UTC

Gravity bends light?

2019-01-31 04:10:03 UTC

ya...

2019-01-31 04:10:05 UTC

Show this?

2019-01-31 04:10:28 UTC

Black holes exist

2019-01-31 04:10:33 UTC

Wtf

2019-01-31 04:10:41 UTC

and before i do how would you like me to do so so i know what to generally 'look' for

2019-01-31 04:11:03 UTC

We are talking about sight distances on earth or theoretical black holes?

2019-01-31 04:11:07 UTC

And well, only reason I believe globe earth is because it would completely destroy every other planetary fact

2019-01-31 04:11:10 UTC

none of those

2019-01-31 04:11:28 UTC

just that gravity affects anything with energy, meaning also light

2019-01-31 04:11:47 UTC

The FACT is. We see impossible sight distances according the globe model

2019-01-31 04:12:05 UTC

wanna join VC?

2019-01-31 04:12:12 UTC

Me? Nah

2019-01-31 04:12:24 UTC

k

2019-01-31 04:12:27 UTC

Citizen?

2019-01-31 04:12:43 UTC

We dont see gravity bend light here on earth. You can theorize it bends light in a the fantasy context of space I suppose

2019-01-31 04:13:39 UTC

Gravity has never been shown to bend light on terrestrial earth. Scattering of light is not light being bent by gravity.

2019-01-31 04:13:42 UTC

i believe in relativity and the law of gravity, so ill explain things using them if i have to do so, you might explain them differently without those two things and thats fine

2019-01-31 04:13:58 UTC

and right, scattering of light is diffusion

2019-01-31 04:14:05 UTC

caused by the air...

2019-01-31 04:14:39 UTC

It einsteins theory of general relativity you are talking about

2019-01-31 04:14:47 UTC

both general and special

2019-01-31 04:15:18 UTC

they co-exist in a sense, depend on one another to fully function as a working whole

2019-01-31 04:15:21 UTC

Light is theorized to bend around MASSIVE objects like neutron stars or black holes
