It isn't bad, it's good, necessary

but it also means they are less in tune with simple common sense

they tend to mistrust it, or ridicule it

and so feel no great need to bend the knee to the mass of "traditional" knowledge

not some esoteric stuff, just the way things have worked out trial and error

which may not be completely rational or completely efficient

but it's effective, proven

lateral thinkers think they know better

they are idealists

the elites are these kind of people

methodical doesn't imply linear thinking

lateral thinking pretty much = creativity pretty much = being crazy

at some level

but being methodical, different aspect, Judging vs. Perceiving

Judgers, highly strung, bug up ass

Perceivers, chill, scattered, not digging down on shit

very broad generalizations

so an intuitive judger will just seem very intense

rather than boringly methodical
