If a gravitational wave passes alone one arm of LIGO and across other other then first arm will be compressed and laser light will arrive at the detector at a different time than the beam returning from the second arm and so there should be an interference pattern.
But the Einstein says Gravitational waves propagates in space time, not space.
Special Relativity states that in Space -Time, If Space contracts then time slows down, and if Space expands then time speeds up so that the speed of light remains constant. which means that the laser beam travelling in compressed Space-Time will always arrive back at the same. LIGO does not and cannot prove Einstein.
