That doesn't matter, it's just to give an indication that it works on both models

2019-02-10 18:19:57 UTC

That picture only gives more confusion

2019-02-10 18:20:00 UTC

The picture makes it look that way, but that’s the flaw.

2019-02-10 18:20:50 UTC

flat earth is confusing and takes a lot of time to understand

2019-02-10 18:20:51 UTC

On a flat model one would see differences in the angle of the shadows on α1, α2, α3, so on

2019-02-10 18:21:12 UTC

That angle can’t be specified on said 2d image

2019-02-10 18:21:44 UTC

Usually I let most things slide because they’re pretty valid points, but this is one of the few where it really doesn’t work.

2019-02-10 18:23:30 UTC

It works fine

2019-02-10 18:23:41 UTC

what if earth is a donut

2019-02-10 18:23:42 UTC

The sun is either to your east or to your west.

2019-02-10 18:23:58 UTC

Or directly above you

2019-02-10 18:24:06 UTC

You know I’m not trying to slam FE, Citizen, but I hope you also understand my point in regards to that specific image.

2019-02-10 18:24:26 UTC

Depending on season. It will be further south or come further north a bit

2019-02-10 18:25:03 UTC

There is nothing wrong with the image

2019-02-10 18:25:17 UTC

It indicates both scenarios work

2019-02-10 18:25:42 UTC

The season doesn’t have an incredible impact on the angle, though. Unless by some miracle you can get the first pillar to reliably be directly underneath the sun for the entire day.

2019-02-10 18:26:04 UTC

Suppers

2019-02-10 18:26:17 UTC

It doesnt work like that

2019-02-10 18:26:24 UTC

My point exactly

2019-02-10 18:26:37 UTC

You dont understand I guess

2019-02-10 18:26:37 UTC

yo what is the gay agenda conspiracy

2019-02-10 18:26:42 UTC

Yo

2019-02-10 18:26:52 UTC

<#495783790367735828>-definitions @tragic_urie

2019-02-10 18:27:06 UTC

@Wildrock hello

2019-02-10 18:27:33 UTC

as a gay, i can tell you we do not homosexualize the culture

2019-02-10 18:27:33 UTC

@Ætos it only needs to be above the first stick for 1 min to take a measure

2019-02-10 18:27:43 UTC

theory ended

2019-02-10 18:27:51 UTC

@tragic_urie never said you personally do

2019-02-10 18:27:57 UTC

Theory not ended.

2019-02-10 18:28:19 UTC

thats actually ridiculous but ok

2019-02-10 18:28:44 UTC

Yeah

2019-02-10 18:28:49 UTC

Agreed

2019-02-10 18:28:52 UTC

With a divergent ray model, and more this has nothing to do with the earth model you choose, if the sun is offset from the initial pillar in any way, then the resulting shadows will have x and y components. That image can’t express any more than either x or y exclusively. Yes, it may take one minute, but if after that minute, one doesn’t notice changes in both the x and y components of the resulting shadow, the test can’t be taken to show anything of value.

2019-02-10 18:29:17 UTC

???

2019-02-10 18:29:34 UTC

The experiment lines up sticks perfect north south lines

2019-02-10 18:29:41 UTC

It might as well be 2 d

2019-02-10 18:29:57 UTC

Unless you do the experiment wrong

2019-02-10 18:30:28 UTC

If the experiment only gives that result when the pillar is directly beneath the sun, then the experiment demonstrates little to no data.

2019-02-10 18:30:39 UTC

I can say the same thing for the globe experiment

2019-02-10 18:30:50 UTC

No.aetos

2019-02-10 18:30:50 UTC

Go ahead
