I've now run into more than one real sociopath, and they ARE convincing. They ARE good actors. They KNOW how to play you.

They DEPEND on the fact that normal good people could not imagine doing what they enjoy doing. This is their camouflage. The prey cannot see it. The prey do not WANT to see it.

At my last job, the company got a big infusion of venture capital. Within months, a sociopath showed up and took over the department. He mass purged the competent with principles, and surrounded himself with sycophants.

He is a caricature of a cult-leader: bald head, skinny, bulging stare, constant absurd boasting lies about himself. Yet people were just mesmerized by this snake.

Trying to warn people turns them against YOU, not the sociopath.

He goes out at night and kills these dudes

In sick/twisted ways

But he's brainwashed by liberalism

So he keeps letting dudes bang his wife

Then he keeps killing these dudes

Like a Dexter comic but way more edgy

I've thought about similar concepts

It's a good concept but where do you go with it

are we supposed to sympathize with him

what's his arc

Mostly capturing serial killers and privately torturing them

For no reason

Not even because they're bad

to be able to justifiably torture people?

I'm more interested in the mind of the sociopath being overturned
