whole
so yes, it was bad
What about stuff like Flagellation for Atonement
That had effort
Other than the improv in the middle
I thought out the beginning and end, and winged the middle
You said you liked that song
It had effort in it
Even the improv had effort to stay in the same aura of the rest of the song
Not to drift too far away
So, your opinion on effort/effortless is wrong wrong wrong
Now, what we can say is, when I over think something, it tends to end up as shit
I start stripping away aspects that were the basis of something
Condensing it, simplifying it
Streamlining it
Like an Amerika article

@The Sleep of Titans#7390 try to understand me rather than play with my words
all of Yersinia Pestis is good
Instead of trying to pwn dungeon synth dudes
That's too much
"be better than the best"
Unattainable
Setting myself up for unneeded stress and failure
Don't need to hit the bullseye, just aim for a better target
If you fall short of greatest, you might be great.
your basic musical dialogue/language itself is still not right
your phrasing, going from one phrase to another etc.
this is for put together tracks, it's fine otherwise
improv, etc.
It's not in a typical riff format
Usually don't revisit melodies
A -> B -> C -> D and so on
Flagellation doesn't revisit any prior melodies
Crimson Massacre did this
I don't really like repeating things over and over anymore
So a lot of the melodies are played twice
Which could give it a rushed feeling
Not letting the melodies stay longer
