it really is kind of odd that the world of finance and investing is so full of people insisting that commodity X should be a different price than it really is. How is that not just blatant delusion? Why do they not instead say to themselves, "My beliefs about reality are demonstrably out of accord with reality, therefore I ought to learn more"?

like why not instead take the opportunity to learn more about market economics and try to figure out /why/ the valuation is not what you would predict?

like every time somebody says "the actual market value of X is wrong," what they are really saying is "I have failed to correctly appraise its value, and likely fail to correctly appraise the market value of other things as well"
