correct would be:
Extremely open to new experience
Highly conscientious
Extremes of introversion and extraversion depending on the day
Not agreeable at all
High neuroticism
and a lot of stuff done in medicine does not have good ("A") evidence
5 disparate things that come together into nothing at all, I've always found
what five things
the ones @Deleted User 57835c2c just said
its his big 5
what do you mean by "come together into nothing at all"
that they're orthogonal?
you cannot derive anything from it, new knowledge, it doesn't tell you anything about the person beyond the sum of the parts tested
whereas an MBTI profile tells you a lot
you can predict their responses to specific scenarios based on that information
that's helpful
like even your skepticism for this stuff
fits with your type
yeah, but when you predict
I don't doubt that MBTI can make solid analyses of personality
you're just using the result itself
you're not getting a holistic picture out of it that tells you about how that person thinks
what they may value, and how
why not
I dont understand the question
*you're not getting a holistic picture out of it that tells you about how that person thinks*
you can tell they are introverted if they score high on introversion
yeah
isn't that a personality trait
you can tell they are neurotic if they score high on neuroticism
its a personality trait, sure
yeah
isn't that what the test is supposed to determine
what their personality traits are
I guess?
ok
what's the problem then
other than apparent lack of applicabillity
well first of all
that
and lets say for instance
Which I have serious doubts about, considering that this system is apparently widely used by experts
can someone's big 5 tell you what they are likely to care about most in the world
what they are motivated by etc.
