and cannot be competed against by other humans
People adopt the religion that's in your immediate environment.
eventually, the Swedes spread across the Solar System
go on
so recap: every religion says they are right, none have clear claim to actually being more right, everybody who believes conveniently only believes religions they are locally exposed to
continue
the reactionary is a fool, a dog
sheep
they are led by their noses
Do you think I'm wrong?
metaphysical truth must be the least important aspect of religion
no, you're right
but neglecting possibility of a religion/god being true outside the data set known to humans
also neglecting the possibilities that against all odds, one sect on earth actually is right
or that in the past, one sect/god was real though they are no longer worshiped
FINALLY THE ANGLIN INTERVIEW MAY HAPPEN TODAY
technically you are at an impasse, not a clear conclusion
You can't find god thru logic games
there are other possibilities not accounted for also
logic is circular, it is a process
inner and outer
consider this possibility: god showed up at one point, then left. As a side possibility, the gorillion religions saying roughly the same thing could be degraded versions of what was once actually touched by god
Religion is good for keeping a society together imo. Christianity was pretty much brought into the west to alleviate the degeneracy in Rome in it's final days. They even had welfare and shit. Welfare makes people lazy, self indulgent and degenerate.
no it doesn't lol
low caste retards misuse the freedom afforded by not having to work
welfare doesn't make them bad, it just shows that they were never good enough to deserve that level of freedom
you don't give a monkey a machinegun, you don't give complete freedom to someone who was born to work a plow
welfare is not freedom though
Well anyways I really don't think that there's a god. There's no evidence for it, never was.
its slavery
look at all the polymaths in history, almost none of them had "jobs," most of them were just paid by aristocrats to sit around and be smart all day
all of them had jobs
what are you talking about
"no evidence" doesn't mean it's necessarily false, it means that you don't know either way. "Burden of proof" is a silly idea used in reddit debates.
very, very few of them, for short periods of their life
had patronage
what qualifies as evidence of God?
if there's an army over the next hill, and I try to tell you about it, the "burden of proof" lies on me, but if I fail to convince you the army is still there
burden of proof has always been a retarded idea
I could say that the fact that every single human society had some conception of the divine means that there's some truth to it
