I've basically been everywhere from Mordor in NYC to the edge of the world in Montana

Montana sounds great

for outdoor recreation

the upsides are obvious

and upbringing

the downsides are drugs, everyone is drunk, everyone with an IQ over room temperature usually goes to the city to try to get wealth and status, crab bucket mentality among the remainder, bad breeding

but necessary to experience

the main downside IMO is that whatever you do, you're stuck with

I feel like travel has hardened me up a lot

it's forced me to get good at dealing with total strangers and places I've never been

seeing all the bad parts of towns from multiple cities

it's forced me to learn to read people fast, because I don't have the benefit of knowing the other person's reputation, and make an impression fast because they don't have any reputation of me either
