THIS IS NOT THE CASE IN REAL ESTATE, NOT TO THIS EXTENT.

2017-12-28 21:11:32 UTC

i know a guy who cashed in at 17k per coin

2017-12-28 21:11:34 UTC

1 coin

2017-12-28 21:11:37 UTC

that's an argument from authority without even specifying a specific authority

2017-12-28 21:11:41 UTC

cashed out his wallet at 12k

2017-12-28 21:11:48 UTC

I'm not saying you are wrong per se, but your thinking there sucks

2017-12-28 21:12:05 UTC

it doesn't suck. he couldn't cash out when he wanted so he lost money

2017-12-28 21:12:18 UTC

due to the massive transaction time

2017-12-28 21:12:22 UTC

+ the exchange time

2017-12-28 21:12:35 UTC

he has infinite money

2017-12-28 21:12:46 UTC

DO YOU KNOW WHY WALL STREET LIKES IT? BECAUSE THEY LAUGH AT THE CHUMPS THAT INVEST IN IT.

2017-12-28 21:12:55 UTC

all he has to do to get more money is fucking live due to trusts

2017-12-28 21:13:00 UTC

mother you often substitute mockery for thinking

2017-12-28 21:13:03 UTC

"OH I'LL TAKE 1 AND 10 TO MANAGE YOUR SHITCOINS FOR YOU, SURE. LOL."

2017-12-28 21:13:04 UTC

it works on dumber people but not me

2017-12-28 21:13:33 UTC

I MOCK AND THINK. I THINK SARCASTICALLY.

2017-12-28 21:14:13 UTC

LET'S SEE. ECOMMERCE FOR SOYCOIN DROPPED YEAR-OVER-YEAR AND CONTINUES TO BE ON THE DECLINE.

2017-12-28 21:14:25 UTC

titus - your dude sold at 17, but realized 12k of it. IF he invested when it was worth something measured in the hundreds, he'd still have made a fat return

2017-12-28 21:14:36 UTC

volatility basically ceases to matter on a long enough timeline

2017-12-28 21:15:05 UTC

@Exilarch I SOUND CRITICAL. IN REALITY, I LOVE BITCOIN BECAUSE IT HAS ENABLED AN ENTIRELY NEW CLASS OF IDIOT TO EXPLOIT.

2017-12-28 21:15:12 UTC

exactly

2017-12-28 21:15:32 UTC

there was no way to predict the bubble when it was in the hundreds

2017-12-28 21:15:39 UTC

there is no way to predict it

2017-12-28 21:15:52 UTC

so? how do you proceed when you don't know the likely future?

2017-12-28 21:15:57 UTC

there must be a way to do so

2017-12-28 21:16:05 UTC

given that most of hte liquid currency is in it due to fucking drugs

2017-12-28 21:16:13 UTC

@Death Strike's Bat THIS IS TRUE. HOWEVER, AS AN EXAMPLE, YOU CAN BE SOME NOBODY PENNY STOCK, ANNOUNCE YOU'RE DOING AN "ICO" AND SEE YOUR STOCK 240%+ OVERNIGHT.

2017-12-28 21:16:21 UTC

with traceable transactions

2017-12-28 21:16:41 UTC

your chance of a cash out is pretty fucking bad.

2017-12-28 21:17:05 UTC

if you got in on the ground floor and now it's here, even losing 50% value between sell and actual cash received is still a huge price increase

2017-12-28 21:17:09 UTC

so...

2017-12-28 21:17:37 UTC

there's no way to know to get in on the ground floor and you wouldn't be able to cash out a large amount now

2017-12-28 21:17:55 UTC

there are websites where you can use bitcoin to directly buy stock portfolios

2017-12-28 21:18:00 UTC

1portfolio.com I believe

2017-12-28 21:18:08 UTC

you can literally just straight swap your btc for stocks and bonds

2017-12-28 21:18:19 UTC

how could you not turn around and sell those more liquid assets for cash

2017-12-28 21:18:43 UTC

or, having made a gorillion percent return on your investment already, just set up a trust with stuff that pays you dividends and live off that forever

2017-12-28 21:18:53 UTC

...exactly

2017-12-28 21:19:05 UTC

this is what I mean when I say you are morally condemning it instead of strategizing how to succeed with it

2017-12-28 21:19:15 UTC

most exchanges limit the rate at which you can cash out to something like 20k a month and you must cash out below the federal limit AND the limits in the countries where the exchanges are

2017-12-28 21:19:31 UTC

oh no, only 20k a month
